In 1989, a group of committed teachers and parents set out to open a school that would stress the spirit of community and friendship. I am proud to say that I was one of those teachers.
Here at West Side Preschool, we have continued that commitment to early childhood education. Our program is designed to facilitate a child's journey, by helping them build on their successes and master skills that will serve them a lifetime.
West Side Preschool provides a small nurturing environment; with an enrollment of 30 and a staff of 6, we offer an excellent child/teacher ratio. This allows us to give our preschoolers lots of attention when they need it most.
Our children have moved on to some of the best private and public schools in Manhattan. We celebrated our 20th Graduation in June and will begin our 21st school year in September. It is our strong feeling of community that has forged bonds of friendships for children and parents over the years.
