Our dedicated and energetic teachers are the heart and soul of our school. They are attentive to the needs of every child, while guiding them in their adjustment to school. Our teachers believe in and carry forth a team approach philosophy.
Our teachers are fully screened as per the Dept. of Health regulations. All are fingerprinted, cleared by the Dept. of Investigation, have all required immunizations, yearly medical form, certification in CPR and First Aid, and completed a workshop on child safety and abuse.
Denise LaMagna, Director
Denise has been at WSP for 19 years. Prior to being named Director, she served as head teacher and is also a co-founder. Denise is certified and holds a M.Ed in Early Childhood from William Paterson University.
Magie Lopez, Head Teacher
Magie has been at WSP for 12 years. She holds a M.S. in Early Childhood from Bank St. College. She is working towards her certification.
Vicki Cruz, Assistant Teacher
Vicki has been at WSP for 4 years. She holds a B.S. in Sociology from Lehman College and an A.A.S. in Early Childhood from Hostos Community College.
Vanessa Rojas, Assistant Teacher
Vanessa has been at WSP for 6 years. She holds an A.S. in Early Childhood from Hostos Community College.
Brandi Monk-Payton, Assistant Teacher
Brandi has been at WSP for 1 year. She holds a B.S. in Film and Media Studies from Swarthmore College.
Raquel Matos, Assistant Teacher
Raquel Matos is the newest member of our faculty. She is currently working on her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education at Hostos Community College.
